1. Nature of This Website

South Hill People Search is a privately run reference service. It describes and links to public records, court indexes, directories, and lookup portals maintained for South Hill by Pierce County and Washington agencies. No government records are hosted here, and the service has no affiliation with an agency, court, or records custodian.

  • Interfere with the site's operation or security

3. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

South Hill People Search is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (15 U.S.C. ยง 1681 et seq.). Neither site content nor results supplied by a linked search tool constitute a consumer report. They may not be used to decide eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose governed by the FCRA.

4. Links to Outside Sites

Links lead to government portals and outside services, including sponsored search tools. Each outside service applies its own terms and policies. Its content, uptime, prices, and data handling are outside our control.

5. No Warranties

The service is offered "as is" and "as available," with no express or implied warranty. Information may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate, and no promise is made that a Pierce County, Washington, or third-party portal will remain available or return correct results.

6. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages tied to use of the site or a linked resource, including reliance on records located through either.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold the site's operators harmless from claims and demands, including reasonable attorneys' fees, caused by misuse of the service or breach of these terms.

8. Intellectual Property

Copyright protects the site's original wording, design, logo, and layout. Links and short attributed quotations are allowed. Republishing a full page or systematically copying content is not.

9. Changes to These Terms

A revised version may be posted here at any time. Continued use after publication means the new terms are accepted.

10. Restricting Access

Access may be limited or blocked without notice when a user abuses the service or violates these terms.

11. Governing Law

Washington law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Government records linked from the site remain subject to the Washington Public Records Act, chapter 42.56 RCW, including its exemptions and agency procedures.

12. Severability

If one provision is held unenforceable, every remaining provision continues in effect.
